November 01, 2011

After spending so much time discussing kitchen renovations, it's time to move to the other most popular room to remodel . . . the bathroom! According to the Remodeling 2010–11 Cost vs. Value Report (www.costvsvalue.com)the national average of the cost recouped from a bathroom remodel was 70%. This high return on investment makes bathrooms one of the top rooms to renovate to increase the value of a home.

Stayed tuned to our blog for future posts on the different steps and decisions required in a bathroom renovation. But first, for a little inspiration, here are a few award-winning bathroom designs from the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) as well as the natural stones that were used to achieve their luxurious looks.

This stunning spa-like bathroom was designed by Holly Rickert of Ulrich, Inc. and features black slate vanity tops.

Designed by Scott Gjesdahl of Bristol Design & Construction this elegant, earthy bathroom has honed granite vanity tops and a beautiful stone tile shower.

Like a five-star European resort, this bathroom was designed by Cheryl Hamilton-Gray to be extravagant with its travertine tile flooring and Quartzite vanity tops.
