Looking for Marble? Lets Talk Turkish.

Did you know that Turkey is located in one of the oldest marble producing geographies in the world? For the past 4,000 years natural stone has been quarried there. With over 80 types and 400 different colors and patterns, Turkey has one of the world’s largest natural stone reserves. And the stone that comes from these quarries is of excellent quality.

Turkish marble may not have the same cache as Italian marble, but if you’re looking for a beautiful quality marble product at a better value, there are some amazing Turkish marble options you’ll want to check out.

Just like Italian marble, Turkish marble has provided material for statues and monuments throughout history. Natural stone has been one of Turkey’s main exports for thousands of years, and there is still plenty available. Here’s a look at some of our favorite Turkish marbles here at Marble & Granite, Inc.

Not to be confused with Italian Carrara Marble, Turkish Carrara marble contains more of a yellowish hue than pure white Italian marble. Soft clouds of silver and slate contrast with the clean white, giving the same crisp, clean look at a fraction of the price.

Bordeaux is a  beautiful grey hued Turkish marble with a hint of burgundy—a great choice for red wine drinkers!

New Emperador Light Turkish marble features shades of brown and hints of green.

Bianco Dolomiti  Turkish marble slabs are bright white with hints of blue.

Looking for a more budget-friendly marble that’s every bit as beautiful as Italian marble? Visit one of our two Marble & Granite Inc. showrooms where we’ll be happy to show you a terrific selection of Turkish marble. Our stone and surfacing experts are happy to help you find the perfect slab for your project. Come in and see for yourself!
