Project Spotlight: Vadara Quartz Laneve

Our clients dreamed of a brighter and more timeless kitchen for a long time because their current kitchen was the exact opposite. It had dark cabinets with black granite countertops and backsplash and felt outdated. They wanted a space where their family would love to gather and that would feel welcoming, airy, and light. We knew that the base cabinet color would be white to give them that fresh, crisp, new start they were looking for. When it came to choosing finishes, Vadara countertops with its soft grey veining and white base were an easy choice since they brought in depth and perfectly complimented the multi-grey tone backsplash.

We also knew that these light colored finishes were not only going to lighten up the space but also make it feel larger. But to take it a step further, we extended the island to line up with the fridge on the left side. In addition, we extended the soffit and cabinets next to their French door to accommodate new trashcan containers and since we made the bottom cabinets larger, we were able to extend the uppers as well giving them more storage.

On the opposite side, we chose glass front cabinets instead of the closed off full front cabinets. These glass fronts allowed us to lighten up the space, even though we made the upper cabinets deeper to give us more storage for larger items such as platters and salad bowls.

Then it was time for some fun with color! The homeowners love blue tones so it was an easy choice to use grey-blue hue for a pop of color on the island! It gave this kitchen a hint of the coastal touch we were looking for, furthermore applying this color throughout the rest of the kitchen in accessories.

Since we knew we wanted to keep this kitchen on the traditional side, we opted for satin nickel pulls on the island and fixtures and black finish hardware on the outside parameter. Our clients love their modernized kitchen and are ready to make more memories in their newly refreshed and timeless space.
