Owner & Founder

Gian Luca is the founder and president of Marble and Granite, Inc. Before graduating as a Civil Engineer from the Colombian School of Engineering in Bogota, Colombia, he first worked as an Inventory Manager at Granitos y Marmoles during the installation of 170,000 sq ft of marble on a building exterior, and shortly thereafter became Plant Manager in the production of marble tiles and slabs. Prior to his move to the United States to study for his MBA at Bentley College, he spent some time traveling the country while surveying quarries. After graduating, he began working at Louis W. Mian, Inc., moving his way up the ladder and holding various positions throughout the company. It was with this deep experience that Gian Luca started Marble and Granite, Inc. in 1990, and quickly became one of the leading wholesalers in New England. Over the course of two decades, Mr. Fiori has touched all facets of his business and continues to manage Marble and Granite, Inc. to this day. Gian Luca is married and has three children. When he is not at work, he enjoys sailing, and playing tennis and golf with his wife and three children.

Paul Cocciardi, co-founder of Marble and Granite, Inc., has 25 years experience in the stone business. Since 1985, he has worked in all facets of the business, including fabrication and distribution. Having worked from 1985 to 1990 for Imported Stone in stone sales distribution and United Marble Fabricators in sales of stone fabrication, Paul joined Gian Luca Fiori to create Marble and Granite, Inc. Paul continues to work with our Sales team and travels in the search for new stones and stone products to bring to the market. Paul holds a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Marketing from Keene State College.

Jonathan Verrengia
Sales Manager

Jonathan began working with Marble and Granite, Inc., in March of 2003 as a customer service/inside sales representative. Throughout his first few years with the company, Jonathan began managing aspects of the Sales team with company leadership, and was soon promoted to Sales Manager. As a Marble Institute of America (MIA) certified instructor, Jonathan is licensed to teach classes to architects and designers seeking continuing education units (CEU) on Natural Stone and Quartz. Prior to his employment at Marble & Granite, Jonathan was an educator for five years, spending four years teaching health and physical education, while also coaching football and tennis. When Jonathan is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 daughters, golfing, reading, and watching sports.
