If you’re in the market for kitchen countertops, you’ve likely encountered beautiful Taj Mahal Quartzite.
Taj Mahal has dominated the design scene for its warmth, elegance and durability, making it one of the most sought-after stone for homeowners.

Slabs of Taj Mahal have a soft warm ivory background with subtle veins of gold that rival the depth and beauty of marble and require less maintenance. The neutral color palette of Taj Mahal pairs well with a variety of design elements, from traditional to modern.

Taj Mahal quartzite is a worthy investment. It is harder than many granites and resistant to scratching, chipping and etching, which are the common concerns for homeowners. Since Taj Mahal is a natural stone, it can also withstand high temperatures and makes it a perfect companion for a busy kitchen.

When selecting Taj Mahal slabs for your project, it’s important to note that not all Taj Mahal quartzite is superior quality. Given its demand, inferior quality slabs are saturating the market.  Stone fissures are natural, narrow openings on the stones surface that is caused by geological formation or mineral crystallization.  Fissure repair is common, and a good quality stone has minimal fillers to stabilize the material. However, because of Taj Mahal’s popularity, fillers are being used more frequently, and not only on fissures, but in cracks and pits (holes).

Marble and Granite strives for minimal filler in our Taj Mahal quartzite, which offers superior quality and durability.  In summary, while Taj Mahal Quartzite with fillers may be slightly more affordable, it may also compromise on quality.  If you prioritize durability, scratch resistance, and a natural appearance, opting for filler-free Taj Mahal Quartzite is recommended since the epoxy fill could come loose over time and come out.
